Introducing IBM Cloud Private for Data (ICP4D)


With all the buzz around machine learning and data analytics with data science promising you a crystal ball in your hand, its quite apparent that technology companies wants to ride on the wave and deliver new avenues and values to its customers. IBM is no exception to it. 

With its history of enterprise grade software around data quality, data shaping and analytics in form of business reports, its quite comforting to know that IBM already has the best of breed products around various stages of developing a data science projects and is well positioned to become the leader in the space. Enter IBM Cloud Private for data - A micro-service based application built on enterprise grade kubernetes platform (Cloud Private) which provides a well choreographed data science functions at scale on cloud or in a inhouse private cloud setting.

The three pillars of Cloud Private for Data  are Collect, Organize and Analyze which are typical of any data science project.  However, the key difference is that ICP4D promises a much more seamless and unified experience with one tool to manage all three aspects keeping in mind the importance of security and audiatability to ensure that the right set of data is available at the right time with right access controls.
